History of the KQ6ZZ Amateur Radio Repeater This is the background section of the repeater. Still under construction. The Box Springs repeater operates on 145.360 Mhz., (-) offset, with a PL of 91.5 The repeater offers excellent coverage for the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange counties. There is marginal coverage in north San Diego County. 1) Pay your dues on the due date. The due date is the 5th day of each month. 2) No personal attacks on member's disabilities. 3) Abide by the FCC rules Part 97. 4) Have fun on the air Guests are welcome to use the repeater on a trial basis for a period of 7 days. If you are interested in trying out our repeater, please click here to send us an email. This will alleviate our curiosity as to who you are when you transmit on the frequency. Travelers are welcome to use the repeater while traveling through the Southern California area. If you do not have internet access while on the road, please leave a message with one of the repeater's members while on the frequency, requesting they notify the control operators you will be using the repeater for a brief period of time. If you would like to become a member of Southern California's fastest growing 2-Meter amateur radio repeater, then please read the following sections regarding membership requirements, rules, dues and application. 1) Possess a valid FCC amateur radio license. 2) Have no felony convictions or prosecutions. 3) Have no psychological disorders which could be considered dangerous. 4) Have a valid physical residential address listed on file with the FCC. We will not accept a PO box as your address! 5) Provide current contact info i.e. Home / Cell phone numbers along with a valid e-mail address. 6) Be known by at least one member of the repeater who can verify who you are. 1) $10.00 per month and due by the 5th day of each month, NO exceptions! 2) PayPal is no longer accepted ... PERIOD! You will need to send a personal check, or money order to the address shown here. Cash is accepted ONLY in person. You can send cash by U.S. Mail, but do so at your own risk!
